Renault Adverts- Target Market/ Audience

Renault company adverts have been advertising for many years. I analysed various adverts of theirs to see which cars are targeting at what audience, to see how much it varied and how they made the target market obvious. To do this I looked for the income bracket, Gender and age group by looking at clues in the adverts.

Slogan- It talks your language

What happens in the advert?  This advert is about a group of friends on a journey trying to find somewhere to watch the football. They drive all around the city at a high speed to try and watch at least the end of the match. Eventually they find somewhere that is playing the football and manage to watch the end of the match. The car is shown to be a ‘hero’ and reliable as it was the car that made the group watching the match happen and got them there in time.

Gender- Women and Men

Age Group- 20-40 year olds

How does this advert appeal to its specific Target Market? Yes is as normally only sport cars can be insured on an older market as it can be dangerous. Also the car shows that it is suitable for a group of people due to the size of it. 

 

Scenic Renault

Slogan- Change your scenery

What happens in the advert?  In this advert it shows the family packing the car with their luggage for their journey. This has been shown to let viewers see in the car and to show the advantages of having the car for example big boot. The car is at stationary in the advert but the backdrop behind the car changes to different sceneries and places. This is to show where this new car can take you and that it’s the best car for traveling.

Income Bracket- Family (traveling)

Gender- Women and Men

Age Group- Mums and Dads, Middle age 30 plus

How does this advert appeal to its specific Target Market? 

New Laguna

Slogan- It’s Evolved

What happens in the advert? This is where they used scientific facts to draw in the viewer as it makes the car seem intelligent. Shots of the car to show what the car looks like. Different gadgets were shown in the advert to show how the car is original. 

Income Bracket-

Gender- Men

Age Group- 35 Plus

How does this advert appeal to its specific Target Market? Yes, normally men like gadgets and new technologies, this will draw the target audiences in as they will want all the new features that are shown in the car. 

Kangoo

Slogan- The van that can

What happens in the advert? A man that leaves for work and goes around the town. The man is able to fit everything into his car. The advert is humours as surrealism take place due to fitting extremely large things in the car when in reality you know it wouldn't fit. 

Income Bracket- Working class people, Self employed

Gender- Mostly Men

Age Group- 25 Plus

How does this Advert appeal to its specific Target Market? This stereotypically target's men as men are normally seen to be driving van due to the type of work they do. 

 

New Master- New model of kangoo, same music as original but obvious changes and technology added.
